Our Google Group Online Support Group is fun, informative and is only a couple of clicks away 24/7. Over 135 members ? You feel like your with family. If you do not already have a Google Groups membership, you will be asked to sign up before you can join the online group. It only takes about 2 minutes to complete the process and it well worth it. Support Group Meetings

Involvement in support groups can dramatically increase your chances of success. Beginning  May 2009, Support group meetings will be held at the
De Matteis Center on 101 Northern Blvd in Greenvale.  Patient Education Meetings are every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at the following new schedule:

• 2nd Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Patient Information Seminars

• 4th Thursday from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
• Support Group Meetings will take place on the 2nd Thursday of each month from, 7:30-8.:30 p.m.
  
  

Information Seminar details

• Support group is for pre-op and post-op gastric bypass patients.
• Questions and answers with Shawn Garber, M.D., F.A.C.S. and Spencer Holover, M.D., F.A.C.S. of the New York Bariatric Group and discussions between patients of their experiences with gastric bypass surgery and lap band surgery.
